Fresh guacamole is always a summertime favorite, and really, a favorite any time of the year. We eat it so often that, sometimes, it’s nice to mix it up. I mean, tortilla chips are amazing, but they shouldn’t get all the guacamole lovin’. The truth is, guacamole pairs perfectly with other crisp crackers, too.
So when Breton Crackers sent me a sample of their new Artisanal Sweet Potato & Ancient Grains crackers with the challenge of creating a summer friendly appetizer using five ingredients or less, I jumped at the chance to create a twist on my favorite guacamole.
The crackers have a light, crispy texture making them a perfect partner in crime to creamy guac. And, they have ancient grains like quinoa and rye, with sweet potato pieces baked right in, so you know you’re getting a major superfood snack. Paired with nutrient-rich guacamole and pomegranate arils (seeds), you know you’re ace-ing your nutrition game.
Best of all, the recipe takes just 5 minutes to make and is so darn pretty, your friends and family may think you got a culinary degree on the side. 😉
